Using the Media Browser
The media browser contains all your images, movies, music, filters and transitions. It is independent of any project windows you have open.
Open the Media Browser by choosing Show Media Browser from the Window menu or by clicking the media browser button in the window toolbar.

The different parts (top to bottom)
- Media type selection
- Buttons for Movies, Photos, Audio, Filters and Transitions. Choose one and the window below changes content accordingly.
- Source list
- This tree view shows the different sources for the media type. Eg iTunes or iPhoto collections or folders in Finder. You can drag your own folders to the movies and photos source list if you keep your media in different locations.
- The media list
- This area lists all the media of the selected source. Let the mouse cursor rest over an item for a short while to get extra info about it as a tool tip. Drag the items to the Timeline or the filter node view to add them to your project.
- Filter field
- Type part of the name of the filter, photo or movie here to quickly narrow down the list of choices in the media list above.
