WAFInspec Icon   How can I export a whole site ?

There are two possibilities to export a whole site with help of WAFInspec.

Exporting a whole site from Internet Explorers cache:
  1. Open Internet Explorers cachefile in WAFInspec
  2. Search for the URL of the site (you might have to adapt your search term in order to not select resources you do not want to be exported)
  3. Select all displayed entries, or only those fitting your needs
  4. Press the Export button

The second possibility uses Internet Explorers ability to store a site as a webarchive.

Exporting a whole site with help of creating a webarchive in Internet Explorer:
  1. Open the site in Internet Explorer
  2. Save it as webachive (Make sure you did set all options appropiately, otherwise the site might not be saved correctly)
  3. Open the webarchive you just created in WAFInspec
  4. Search for the URL of the site (you might have to adapt your search term in order to not select resources you do not want to be exported)
  5. Select all displayed entries, or only those fitting your needs
  6. Press the Export button

When exporting multiple entries, WAFInspec can create a hierarchical folder structure, reproducing the sites layout. This is the default setting. Take a look at the Preferences for modifying this behaviour.
